There are still possibilities to participate in the Honors International Faculty Institute (HIFI) - focusing on honors education and new pedagogies to develop talent! HIFI is based on research results in the field of honors pedagogies. This teacher training offers you an excellent opportunity to meet people who are also eager to learn, to deepen your knowledge and to broaden your network.
The 3rd annual Honors International Faculty Institute is scheduled for 4-6 June 2018, on the campus of Hanze University in Groningen, The Netherlands. Registration deadline is 16 April 2018.
The institute is hard-working, fast-paced, and highly interactive, with substantive work on a complimentary blended-learning e-portfolio platform, experiential components, and various other activities focused on enhancing honors course design, pedagogy, community, talent development, and more.
Working visits to parts of the university, local museum, cultural and business establishments, and exhibitions are all included. One signature feature of the institute is a brief, intensive immersion in City-as-Text™ pedagogy, more than simply a walkabout or excursion into the city’s streets, its unique sites and diverse citizens, but a way of approaching teaching, learning, and talent development. Another is the benefit of sharing with international colleagues an array of pedagogical philosophies and practices for talent development and excellence in our classrooms.
